SME HVS Cell Writer V1.2 — Crash Data Clearing Now Available
Version 1.2 adds crash data clearing from supported BMW SME/HVS EEPROM / DFLASH dumps.
If your SME contains crash data, read the EEPROM / DFLASH with your programmer and load the dump into the software. The software checks the file, clears the supported crash records, and lets you save a cleared copy for writing back to the original unit.
How it works:
1. Read the EEPROM / DFLASH from your SME.
2. Open Clear Crash and select your dump. Load the matching PFLASH if available, or use DFLASH only mode.
3. Click Clear crash data and save the cleared file.
4. Write the cleared file back to the same SME using your programmer.
No coding or cell rewriting is required for this crash-data clearing process. In some cases, the SME may also require reflashing.
The software preserves the original cell identifiers and modifies only the supported crash/event records. If the file has an unsupported structure or fails validation, the software reports an error and does not produce a cleared file.

This software runs and detects the ZGW/NBT/MGU IP address, and can forward ZGW/UDP and SSH IP. If E-Sys, ISTA, or any other software on the PC is connected to port 6801, it is automatically terminated and forwarding is forced. The software is free!

Version 1.0 had a problem: when the car had 11 cells, the software only wrote 10 cells and you got an error on cell 11. The new version fixes this problem and adds three writing options:

Function 1–10 – writes the detected cells from 1 to 10. For example, if 2 cells have errors, it will write those 2 cells.
Function 1–11 – if the car has 11 cells, this writes all of the cells.
Reverse Cells – if the first and second functions don't work, this function will try to force-write the cells.

In the next updates, we plan to add "crash flag" deletion from the EEPROM. The software will automatically clear the crash data from the EEPROM – you just need to write it back.
After the "25-11" update, if the MCU cannot be read, we have a solution: a full downgrade for reading. This will be available in the next update!
A big update is coming that will automatically write the SFA token!

Fixed:
The DTC list in the software has been corrected.
Software freezing has been fully fixed – the software is now stable.

We're Back from Summer Break!

Hi everyone,

We hope this finds you well and that life is treating you kindly.

Well, that's it — summer is officially over. The calendar has flipped to September, the evenings are getting a little shorter, and vacation season has quietly come to an end. We hope you all had a wonderful summer, wherever you spent it, and that you managed to squeeze in some real rest along the way.

We certainly did. Our whole team took the time to properly switch off: long mornings, slow afternoons, good food, and plenty of sleep (probably more than we'd like to admit). The weather helped, too. This summer wasn't nearly as hot as the last few years, so instead of hiding from the heat, we actually got to enjoy it — evenings outside, long walks, and the kind of unhurried days that make you forget what day of the week it is.

But rested minds get restless, and after a few weeks we started missing the work. So here we are — back at our desks, coffee in hand, and excited about what comes next.

And there's a lot coming. The www.bmw-az.info team is kicking off new software development, and in the weeks and months ahead we'll be sharing lots of new solutions with you. We think you're going to like what we have planned.

BMW FA Editor V1.2 is a coding application for BMW vehicles. It allows you to read the vehicle's FA (Fahrzeugauftrag / Vehicle Order), save it, modify it, and write your changes directly back to the car.
